Protecting our parks and green spaces

As your local councillor one of my main priorities is to protect our parks and green spaces.

  • Restoration of the Dingle Close Tennis Courts: Successfully lobbied the Mayor and Council to restore the long neglected tennis courts. John and Henry are delighted to see the tennis courts back up and running after 15 years of neglect.
  • Support the work of We Love Stoke Lodge: Public access to Stoke Lodge is vital for the local community. It was great to see that Stoke Lodge was designated a Village Green in 2023.
  • Lobbying to solve the van dweller crisis on the Downs: Henry and John have repeatedly called for a 'no overnight camping by-law' across the whole city, which is the only way the van dweller crisis on the Downs and across Bristol will be solved. This has been introduced across neighbouring authorities with much success.
